Forums

Forums are a great way to learn what's new within a particular topic. You can read and review posts by other forum members, write your own replies when you can help other forum members, and ask questions about your topic.

Forums are full of like-minded people, all looking to get help, and to help others. In terms of online business, forums can also make great places to network with other business owners and marketers. When allowed, you can place links to your own web sites, affiliate products, or general sites of interest to build up traffic and possibly orders.

To find forums that match your topic of interest, simply do a search on Google, or one of the other search engines, for "your topic" + forum. Look for forums that are regularly visited and that are 'active'. Check the rules about advertising and signatures, and, if you are allowed, sign up and add your signature. If you are genuine with your posts; i.e. you don't just post so you can show off your signature, you will become a respected member of that community.

Remember that forums are two-way. If you are always asking for help, you will lose respect. If you see a post requesting help, and you know that answer, dive in and give back to the forum community. The other members will respect you for it.
